News Archive April 5th, 2018 New interdisciplinary cooperation partner: Wolfgang P. Kalny has joined our team of experts. We would like to welcome Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Mag. Wolfgang Kalny as new partner of our law firm! Wolfgang Kalny is director of Kalny Future Business GmbH in Austria. The company´s mission is to advise and manage enterprises on creating, planning and executing digital transformation strategies with strong focus on digital economy, robotics process automation for backoffice processes, applications of artificial intelligence, cybernetics, blockchains, cryptography as well as general methodological support for process and project management, change management, and knowledge management. Kalny has graduated from the Technical University in Vienna, Austria, in electronic engineering and cybernetics as well as from the University of Economic Science in Vienna, Austria, in microeconomics, computer science, and operations research. Due to his longtime experience of overseeing different positions in the Austrian IT- and telecommunication industry he brings an in- depth pratical knowledge. Main aim of our cooperation will be the joint execution and legal advisory of block-chain projects in the international supply and logistic industry, mobility services and IT contracts with a focus on the international supply chain. We are looking forward to a successful cooperation! April 4th, 2018 New cooperation partner: Gustavo Cortês de Lima has joined our law firm for international cases. Since the beginning of April 2018, lawyer Gustavo Cortês de Lima has joined our international lawyer team as a permanent cooperation partner of our law firm. Gustavo Cortês de Lima is the founder of Cortês Law Firm (Brazil), Director of the Department of Infrastructure and Department of Trade and Foreign Affairs of the Federation of the Industries of the State of São Paolo (FIESP) and he is also partner and director of GICORP, located in Vienna. Furthermore, he was  UN and OAS Human Rights Advisor in Human Rights and Electoral Missions in Haiti. He speaks English, Portuguese and Creole. Because of his large working experience he is an expert in international business law, with focus on infrastructure and energy (oil and gas). He is creator of the “Strategy Diversification of Funding” which works with innovation and development agencies. We are looking forward to a successful cooperation! January 31st, 2017 Mag. Kurt P. Nemec, M.B.L.-HSG is the new member of the board of directors of the Swiss GreenTec Innovation AG The GreenTec Innovation AG sets new standards with minimising the consumption of energy and resources for a sustainable future, with a specialisation in the fields LED lightning and greening of walls. Among other things, the AG is the market leader in energy-efficient illumination of tennis courts in Switzerland. Mag. Kurt P. Nemec, M.B.L.-HSG not only introduces his legal expertise in the fields of technology and law, but also his many years of experience in the fields of strategical growth management into the Swiss company. December 19th, 2016 The Regulation (AutomatFahrV), regarding automated driving, comes into force Mag. Kurt P. Nemec, M.B.L.-HSG was a member of the working group “legal conditions” of the automatization summit 2015/2016 (for more information, see below at news from the 28th October 2015), who was working out the legal framework for automated driving. These legal conditions came now into force by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology. According to the theme “automated - connected - mobile” working groups of representatives of the sectors industry, economy, research as well as representatives of cities and federal states develop a collaborative Austrian strategy for automated driving. The aim of the federal ministry of traffic, innovation and technology is to provide general conditions for practical tests of automated driving with a national action plan therefore. Until April 2016 the members of the working group “legal framework” develop necessary legal alterations with regard to new test tracks for automated driving in Austria. July 15th, 2015 Mag. Kurt P.
